The post is a bit different this week! I am sharing my experience becoming a mom. Because I was not prepared and I learned a lot.
This article may be of interest to women but also to men! We meet pregnant women in our lives, family, friends, colleagues. It's hard to imagine what they're going through when we've never experienced it. I thought pregnancy was easy.
Personally, pregnancy was challenging. It was the first time that my daily challenges were more physical than intellectual. I was more driven by hormones and instinct than ever. I'd never thought of pregnancy being so physical. Experiencing it deconstructed all my beliefs about it! The whole journey of becoming a mom was physical: pregnancy, breastfeeding, mothering.
I wrote Becoming a mom: a “mammalian” experience few months ago. I hesitated publishing it: it is personal and I am definitely not used to talking about myself. But one of the reasons why I created Tech Moms is to talk and read more about these topics. I can't ask moms to share their experience without also leading by example. Happy reading!
PS: Interviews are back next week :)
